  GETTING READY TO PAINT
  • STEP 1 - CLEANING; all paintable exteriors surfaces are power washed to remove all loose surface dirt, dust, and flakes.
  • STEP 2 - SCRAPING/ WIRE BRUSHING;depending on the surface texture of your siding, we will scrapeor wire brush down to tight edges that are suitable for priming.
  • STEP 3 -PRIMING;(new wood and exposed old wood require an oil base primer for best adhesion.)
  • SPOT PRIMING;used as needed when the old paint surface is considered prime coat.
  • FIRST COAT PRIMING;recommended and considered standard procedure to prepare entire house for painting .
  • LINTEL PRIMING;metal lintels will be primed with rust inhibitor primer.
  • STEP 4 -POPPED NAIL HEADS;nails that used to be flush or countersunk wil be returned to their original state.
  • STEP 5 -CAULKING;windows,entry ways,and siding -trim intersections will be caulking with 35 years rated caulk.
  • CAULKING;countersunk nails holes will be filled with putty.
 
   OPTIONS FOR STAINED FRONT DOOR
  •  TONE UP (one coat of varnish) no repair work to old finish
  • MINOR SPOT OR TRIM RESTORE+varnish whole door (done on site, one day)
  • MAJOR FINISH RESTORATION .(as good as it gets without starting over with new wood ). door is remove (temporary door supplied),total chemical strip ,sand, re-stain, seal, sand, full varnish.(takes 4/5 days). On any door job we will install new or old hardware you supply at no extra charge...
